The series The Rihla is inspired by the travels of Ibn Battuta, the famous 14th-century explorer who journeyed through countless countries across North Africa, the Middle East, and Asia. This series consists of eight artworks, each referencing specific artifacts, symbols, and cultural elements from various regions visited by Ibn Battuta. Together, these works form a single visual travelogue: The Rihla, or The Journey.
